I cut out the pieces just the way the pattern said. Tried to piece the star together and there was no way it was going to work. My daughter came, who is good at figuring out stuff, and she couldn't either. I have a box that jas all this kind of stuff goes into. Someday I will take all the pieces that I have cut a tad to shy, the star pieces I can't get together and other pits and pieces and make something. Not sure what tho. That's my UFO.

A couple of years ago, my guild had a UFO swap. We were to take the UFO we received and make SOMETHING out of it, even if it was a postcard or a tote bag, and then return it to the original giver. It was such fun!

Sometimes I take all the pieces of a ufo and put in a zip lock bag and put it on the free table at guild meetings. If I have a pic of the original project, or the pattern, I include that, in case someone wants to actually finish it. Otherwise, they can use it for something else.

I have some large UFO's that I still love but they talk to me and tell me how they want to be hand quilted so they stay in their tote, until???

I have some UFO's that I do intend to finish and some that I do not like how they are looking at all, but can't seem to give them up after all the work I did on them. Someday, maybe. In the meantime, there are dozens of ideas for new quilts running around in my head.

Don't torture yourself with UFOs.

I can't manage the seam ripper and the wine glass at the same time so I put the thing away and go look for chocolate.
