I got my new Janome Horizon today and I am having problems with the quarter inch foot, it is sewing much narrower. Anyone else had problems with this foot?

You may have to move the needle position, if that is an option, to get your 1/4" with the special foot. I had to do that on one of my Janome machines.

Check and see if your needle is in the correct position. It might be too the right.

I don't have a Janome, but I need to move my needle when I use my quarter inch foot. My sister has a different brand, but she needs to do the same thing. I think you will need to do a bit of experimentation on the needle position. Then write it down :-)

I don't use a 1/4" foot with my Janome, just move the needle until I have a scant 1/4".

Do you have the new O2 foot? It should say O2 on it somewhere. If it didn't come with your machine, register your machine online with Janome, and you should get it in 2-4 weeks. Or call your dealer. The O2 foot was made just to solve problems with the original 1/4" foot. Join the yahoo group for Janome Horizon owners, it's a wealth of info and support.

Thankyou all so much, I have moved the needle and it is fine. :)
