When you bookmark something, it asks you 'public' yes or no. Can anyone tell me what this is for ?

If you mark YES,then all of us on the board can see it. If you mark NO, then you're the only one that can view it.

that is to say that you can decide which of your bookmarks the others can see. the topics bookmarked remain public.

I don't understand why others would want to see my bookmarks, but I always mark yes. Worse case scenario: someone might die if they can't get to my bookmarks! wouldn't want that to happen.

I actually used it one time for Secret Santa in a desperate attempt to identify my pal's favorite colors, etc. I finally just had someone else contact her and ask...LOL! :D
