Pul

I'm working on some quilted picnic/potluck carriers. I'm using PUL on the inside. Which is the right side, the slippery side or the fabric side? I'm not sure which works better inside the carrier.

You got me curious so I had to look for an answer. Most sites talk about using for diapers and it appears that the laminated side it out. I would think that either way would work to keep the moisture inside. Here is one site that I found that gives some tips http://www.sew4home.com/tips-resourc...thane-laminate

I've used a lot of PUL in my sewing life! I sewed at least 100 diapers for my kids and others, ending about 3 years ago. The right side of the PUL is the fabric side. It isn't really meant for the laminate side to show. I'm not sure how it would handle being exposed when washed. My diapers were PUL outers, with the fabric facing out, and a microfleece inner. The laminate was sandwiched between the two. I hope that makes sense. I have a head cold and am feeling pretty out of it today.

You want to put the fabric side out.

A teflon foot or walking foot are your friends working with PUL along with hundreds of pins.
