I never bought one because they are made in sweat shops and the people making them are not compensated properly for their skills. I do not want to promote such horrible business behavior. Think about it, how could you ever justify making a quilt and selling it for $25. I think that the existance of those quilts devalue the ones that we make.

I have a gorgeous kingsize quilt on the bed now that I purchased from a neat little store in the hill country. Can't ever see myself doing a quilt that size.

Do I look Yes, if on super Clearance do I consider buying Yes, do I want it to look nice and be done well none of the printed fabric, yes. Can I control who makes them No. Do they hold up as well as ones I make No. But on the other hand, don't always want mine ground into the sand at the beach... JMO

I have bought quilts from JCPenney and QVC. The quilts were 100% cotton and held up very nicely. I have a quilt that is several years old on my bed that I bought at a flea market. It originally came from JCPenney. It is showing wear along some seams but I still love it. It seems like it has the old-fashioned kind of cotton batting in it.

The people who make quilts are not compensated the same as they would be if they were doing the same job in the US or Canada, but their jobs mean the difference between eating and not eating, housed or homeless, education or none.

I have a down comforter on our king sized bed.. (over my hexagon hand quilted quilt) Something about the fluffiness of the down without all the weight is soothing to me..

I agree. I would definitely never buy one that has been imported....I would never be able to enjoy looking a quilt that was done using slave labor.
