Purchasing from other sites
 

So, has anyone ordered the daily special from Quilt In A Day? I am hoping so and that it was a good experience... I have tried several times to purchase the daily special and it has been sold out each time. I have to wonder about the legitimacy. They have had some fun things but I wonder if it's time to cut that site out of my emails??? Would appreciate any responses.

I'd say that I have ordered the daily special from Quilt in a Day about five times. Each time, I was able to get what I ordered. I am sorry that you have had such a frustrating experience.

I haven't had any issue with QIAD daily deals. I have gotten several. Missouri Star daily deals usually sell out early on the ones I really want, however.

MSQC used to run out a lot more then they do now. Now I seem to be able to get the deal after dinner time. (Like I need more!)

The daily deals for MSQC , Fat Quarter Shop, and QIAD are posted on Facebook and are immediately seen by thousands so that is why most are sold out so fast. I have had no problem with any of the daily deals. Fat Quarter Shop has the fastest shipping.

I've never had a problem getting them, only twice have they been sold out - once each for MSQC and QIAD

MSQC daily deals are posted at midnight Missouri time. That's 11:00 where I live so I check it before going to bed. That gives me an opportunity to buy if it's something I really need (should read want) before it's sold out. I've only ordered once from Quilt In a Day and maybe once or twice from Fat Quarter Shop.

I was unaware Quilt in a Day had daily specials...I will have to check it out. I have been successful with MSQC but only order about once a month.

I've ordered some of the specials and never had a problem. Of course my husband and I are awake each morning before the sun comes up having coffee and on our computers. I'm probably ordering something before 6:30 am. Ordering later in the day may cause them to be out!!

I also didn't know about Qullt in a Day deals. I've ordered quite a few times from Missouri Star Quilt Company and never had a problem. The other day they had free shipping which is great so I had to take advantage of that - especially since my daughter gave me a birthday gift card from Missouri Star Quilt Company - yay!

I think the problem is when you are trying to order. I do all my computer work in the morning and generally do all my ordering at that time. Being west coast, this means my orders are, at the latest, very early afternoon east coast. If you are waiting until the evening I can see there might be a problem. I order most everything online and have never found the daily deal on these sites out of stock. While I will buy fabric items on these sites, I still find that most notions are quite a bit cheaper on either amazon sites or ebay sites. Ebay can be fun for the collections of old items that someone is selling because they are cleaning out an older relative's home - found some real treasures!

Just noticed that you are in Idaho. Perhaps those of us in the East and Central sections of the country receive and read the emails from QUID before you rise and shine for the day. Maybe that's why they sell out so quickly. I might add that I have never had a problem with ANYTHING I have ever ordered from her and consider the company to be very honest and easy to deal with. Perhaps if you contact them, they would have a suggestion for you about how to view or order before us Easterners.

I have ordered from both & prefer Missouri Star. I have my item(s) in 3-4 days from them & it takes 2x as long from QIAD. Since it can take 8-10 days from QIAD, I have to really want it.
