OK, I just don't get it, I recently looked thru a peephole to view a quilt. Just what is the purpose?

During construction stages, it's to get a long distance view to make sure you are happy with the layout...same as using a design wall but you can get further away.

Things look different close up or from a distance. Sort of "You can't see the forest, for the trees." When you're in the woods you see the individual trees, when you're in a plane you can look down & see the forest.
The peephole helps you visualize as if from far away.

thanks, I guess I was standing to close when I tried it!

Here's a previous post of mine that will really explain the use of a peep hole. I could have saved a lot of grief if I'd just stepped back for a better view!

its so you can see a large area --all at once-
see what it will look like across the room- when you are up close and personal you can not see everything.

It's also a good way to see if a block has got turned upside down and sideways before you have it all stitched together.

darn, I should have bought it then!
