Someone wanted to make a purse insert a while back and couldn't locate the pattern. While doing the ShopHop, I found this site:

I bought this pattern off the website and it came within a couple of days! But I've had it several months now and haven't tried it yet because the directions seemed a little complicated to me (and I've been sewing for 40 years!) but maybe once you actually have the pieces cut out in front of you, it makes more sense.

If you wanted to go a little more low tech - here is one - purse pockets

I also have seen one done with an embroidery machine but for the life of me I can't remember what site that was on. If you are interested I'll see if I can find it again or figure out that I'm just nuts and didn't really see it after all which could possibly be the case but I could have sworn I saw it somewhere...

Edited to add...
I found more! I knew I would find them!
I like this one a lot - and just copied it to a word file..

It's on the Sewing for Sarah site - which is also having a $5 set sale for Labor Day. I have heard good things about that site although I have not personally bought from it since it's mostly little kid girly things and I don't have little girlies I've got little boyies lol.

And I found one for the embroidery machine although it was not the one I was thinking of - surprise!

HI, I'm new on this site and and enjoy viewing all the subjects of great ideas on quilting and also sewing.
I'm not a quilter but I do little things like appliques and stuff. Your reference on this purse organizer is wonderful. I made the simple one other quilters gave reference to but I like this one very much. Although it seems more complicated to make, I will give it a try.
Thanks again for giving this link :D

I just bought the one from StudioK but it is 5 inches wide i think, and my tote bag purse is 3 so i will alter it some. it would be fine for the tote bags i'm making though but I want it for my expensive daily purse by Fossil.

I bought a whole bunch of her patterns - opened one up - looked at the pattern and directions - and put it back. I also thought I had at least rudimentary sewing skills and I was discouraged when I looked at the pattern.

Memathomas....I also purchased the purse insert pattern from Studiokats. I worked and worked on it for days and finally gave up. I don't think it's us...the directions are very complicated. I finally put away the directions and just did it my way...worked ok but doesn't look like the pattern. I love the patterns my lazy girl designs. Very easy to follow directions with beautiful results. Thought I would share this. Love this site!!!
