I have 9 yards of pre quilted fabric on one side. What would you do with it?

Kathy N 07-02-2010 04:42 AM

It would make a cute diaper bag.

What about sleeping bags or play mats for a little girl's birthday party? The guests would take theirs home as a party favor. ???

I never have 9 yds of anything. Why not put bias tape around the edges and make these to give to the Linus Project. I like to piece and quilt my own, so pre quilted fabric I don't buy and I would wonder what to do with it too, Must have been a great deal you got..lol

Well I am in my late 5? and my grandson is 15 so party bags, I don' think I would be using them. I was told that younger mom do not like the baby loolkng bags. This was from a mother of three little ones.

What a cute nursery outfit. Bedding, bumpers, etc.

the backing for half a dozen little people quilts :)
you could make cute patchwork fronts and tie the quilts, very cute! kids floor play quilts...diaper bags, totes,
how wide is it?

sewmuchmore 07-02-2010 05:02 AM

42 inches wide.

I like the idea of binding them and donating several blankies for cancer kids or the Linus project. Beautiful fabric.

Yes I agree with making small quilts to give to sick children, we make very small quilts here for prem babies and they get to take them home
good luck

My first thought was blankies for the Linus Project as well. They would be prefect and the kids would love them. The material is so cheerful.

Cut and bind the small quilts then donate them to your local children's hospital. In the neonatal ICUs the nurses like to cover the isolettes with quilts to keep the light off the wee ones. they will be well used there.

I would stitch 2 widths together to make it 84" wide and then make a quilted duvet cover for it!! Sorry, but the print on it does have its limits :( - but I'm sure it is warm, so why not take advantage of that.

how about a quillow? http://with-heart-and-hands.blogspot...g-quillow.html

sewmuchmore 07-02-2010 06:43 AM

Great idea!!

sewmuchmore 07-02-2010 02:28 PM

Do you think that I could use fleece on the back side on the pre quilted fabric to make a quillow?
