Have you ever used the pvc floor quilting frames? and are they worth the money?

I had one along time ago and I Loved it! I lost parts in moving~ of all the boxes to get lost. =( I keep saying I'm going to replace it. Hobby Lobby has them and every other month or so they have a 40-50% off coupon.

Sorry for double post...

I have one and I think they are great. It does a good job of keeping the quilt as taut as you want it, and it is really easy to set up or take apart when you want to get it out of the way for company.

I have one. It is 28 by 36 with 4 legs. Got it at Joann's. Just love it. Have hand quilted 2 full size quilts on it.

My hubby made one for me just by looking at the pictures. I did have him make it less deep than the "store bought" because I couldn't reach all the way across and my space is limited. It works very well. If you use the 40% coupon I think they are very affordable.

It depends on your back. I bought one and used it to hand quilt my first baby quilt many, many years ago. Worked fine back then. Nowadays I would not be able to use it because of my back. Even with the extra lifters, to tilt the frame, it would be more bending than I could do without major problems.

For me, an adjustable lap hoop works well. Here's a link to my favorite:

I have one and love it. It has snap on pieces to hold the quilt taut and it's easy to move the quilt to a new position to work on...It's also lightweight and easy to assemble, put away, etc.

I have a Q-snap floor frame and I use it all the time. I always have a quilt on the frame and when I have a few minutes, I can use the time to quilt. The frame hold the quilt tight and it's lightweight and easy to move around. If company is coming, I can take the unfinished quilt off and put the frame in the box. I would recomend one to anyone who hand quilts.
