just a dumb question, can i use my 1/4 foot for my Janome Memory Craft 4900 on my Singer Featherweight? I dont want to have to buy another foot if I dont have to.

I saw on another post that a lady used her Janome feet on her Singer, but im not sure if this will work.

Can anyone help??? TIA

I have interchanged my feet between my Janome and my Featherweight and other low shank Singers, such as the Model 66. I just remove the shank that the feet clip onto.

In fact, before I realized I could do this I had already paid $35.00 for a Janome walking foot, which I don't like. I went into Joann's and bought a generic walking foot as a trial for my Singer Model 66 as a trial with the 40% off coupon and it was less than $10.00. I now use this foot on all of my machines including the Featherweight and Janome.

I believe that as long as it is a low shank it is interchangeable.

I received a catalog from "Neward Dressmaker Supply" www.newarkdress.com" which has a set of attachments (9 pieces) for $9.65 which I was thinking about buying. I believe the feet should all work however my Singers don't have the zig-zag functions.

I am no expert about machine feet, however I believe Charlee is very knowledgeable about them. You could pm her and double check with her.

My favorite 1/4" piecing foot is specifically made for Janome's and FW's :D but it works great on my Singers and Kenmore too :D:D:D
