I find it very difficult to machine quilt a large quilt. I have just completed 12 blocks of a Baltimore Album quilt. I want to use a QAYG technique so that I can machine each square individually. Does anyone have a reference they can share with me.
Thanks for your help! |
Several here on board, just search QAYG and you should find something. On mine I cut 1" strip for back and 1 1/2" for front. Fold 1 1/2 in half wrong side together, press. Put this on front edge of block, put 1" on back of same edge, sew 1/4" seam. Sew next block to other side of 1" strip, open, batting should meet, on front fold strip over to cover seam and hand or machine sew down. And so on and so on, when row is done you add rows together the same way, Hope this helps, I can do it, I never tried to explain before.
