Thanks to all of you for the positive responses. I am just frustrated that I am working on a Victorian Log Cabin and although I was careful in measuring and cutting, pieceing with a (I thought and it measure 1/4 inch)seam, when I measure the finished block it measures 10 1/2 in instead 10 3/4 in.

You are amazing just finding the time to do any quilting at all! Pat yourself on the back.

What she said!! I share all those traits you described, and still consider myself a quilter.

Don't worry about your quilt. Chrismah could quilt a thrift store bed sheet into a beautiful whole cloth quilt. I'll just bet when the photos show up on the board, everyone will be wowed.

As for all of your other worries, forget it. Quilting is supposed to be fun. If you are having fun, it's all good.

I could not have said it better. Joy - please dont feel bad... you are an amazing person and I agree you most certainly need the outlet with everything else on your plate. HAPPY QUILTING FOREVER!!!

It is for the love. Very, very few people do anything just for perfection unless they're getting paid.

I have never been able to figure out what sewing machine a quilt or garment was made on by looking at the finished item.

Love what you do and do what you love. We're all individuals with our own special talents and abilities. It would be real boring if we all quilted the same. Keep up the good work, it's still cheaper then going for therapy.

The one thing I love about this board is the encourgement people give to new comers and to advanced quilters. Everyone feels welcome.

I don't have a fancy machine and I love to sew squares and rectangles since they are easier. I am a good quilter but will never be an advanced quilter and that is okay with me.

I love to be inspired and I think this is a great place to be.
