You can buy the 18" Tin Lizzie for less than this if you look. Ebay had one that went for 3600. last week. Lizzies you can upgrade to a computerized machine with the Lizzie stitch and it comes with stitch regulator. It has a very solid frame, also. They are $3995.00 on ebay, brand new.

I bought the queen quilter 18 from the same place last year for a little more than that and really like the machine I also bought the Shirley Stitcher II with it and have had very little problems with it. Mostly just learning how to use it. Ihave been able to use different threads without any problems with tension. I think its a decent machine for the money.

Ebay sellers don't take payments. The one she's looking at will finance and take payments. That's a huge point in its favor for most people.

That's similar to what a local dealer has a combo of that machine and frame for here. Same price pretty much. Don't ask me why I know since I have no place to put a long arm and thus no business looking at them ;)

I love my Tin Lizzie 18LS. This is similar. The frame looks short but they can be lengthened. Not free shipping for someone like me in the USA but not continental! So to me a good price as I paid $8,000.

Wow wish I had seen this before I bought mine. I like the payment plan!

I don't know anything about LA but the reviews looked positive. Keep us posted!

I'm in the same boat...no money & no space...I still look and drool over the longarms...We all need to have that "unreachable" dream... it is what keeps us going! LOL

I've been "looking" at the sit-down model of the Queen Quilter 18....and salivating...how many of you guys have one of these....I've hand-quilted for over 30 years and have just started fmq....I love the Leah Day videos in her 365 Days of FMQ blog....I think moving the quilt is easier for me than moving the machine. Any thoughts?
