It is by Judy Niemeyer. The paper piecing is printed on their newsprint paper which comes with the pattern. Here is my question for those of you who did this project before:
If you use this printed foundation paper you can only make one of this project, how did you go about it, did you make copies of the prints (they are quite large size sheets of paper) so you can use this pattern again do you have any other suggestions??? I really want to be able to use it again. thanks for your suggestions!!! |
I took a different pattern to Kinkos (they do copies and Fed Ex shipping) and they ran a print for me. It cost $6.oo for a huge piece of paper but was worth it so I could tape the original up as reference. I made sure to mark all my pieces before I copied because they were not marked by the designer.
Kinkos in very clear that this must be for your personal use only. |
You can buy extra papers for some of Judy's quilt patterns. I have done that.

I am making this also, and if I wanted to make another one, I would just buy the pattern again, or order more of the foundation sheets. Just wouldn't take a chance on the distortion that could result from copying a pattern like this one. Just my opinion.

I would use freezer paper to copy the design if you need more.
