question about cutter dies
I have a sizzix cutter and absolutely love it so far. But I have a question. I have a die that has three sizes of the same shape. I only want to cut just one size. I know I can cut a smaller square and only put fabric on that spot of the die but I was wondering if there is any other technique that I can use.

That is what I do on my accuquilt

When I watched a demo at a quilt show for the Accuquilt Go, the lady just took a strip and layered it on back and forth. Not sure how else to describe it but she put the strip on then back and forth a few times. She was actually showing the secondary cut that came out from between the original cut.

You can put you fabric over just the size you want to cut. To keep from damaging your cutting mat (placed on top of the fabric), use a smaller one that will just cover the one part you want to cut. Otherwise, you will make deep grooves in your mat. I do this all the time. Also, you can take older mats and make sections that will be the right size for some of the smaller cuts you want to do.
