I have made pillows from goose feathers and down ,so quilts are only same but larger.
YOU MUST buy PROPER feather proof cambric to enclose the feathers which is now very difficult to get here as they will "poke" their way throughany other fabric which can be uncomfy. You must cut up the larger feathers and discard the quill ends AND MOST OF ALL you must fumigate/stove/ them. When done it is very satisfying , after all our Grandparents/G G parents [depending on your age!!!!] did this . |
