I use some very small scraps, I use 1" on up, so dont throw those lil pieces, toss 'em my way! Even the batting!

Can someone please post a photo of what you have made using teeny tiny scraps. So far I'm putting my scraps in a shoe box but one day I might need to think about making them into something.

They are great for PP, especially miniatures. I did give a bag away to a kindergarten teacher for children to use as craft material.

There are some links on here where people have made quilts from their itty bitty little "crumbs" and they are alot smaller than 1 inch strips...some people even use the selvedge for their string or crumb quilts...it's pretty amazing what people can make with the tiniest bit of fabrics put together :)

The small strips of batting,I use for stuffing my Easter bunny, The head is stuffed, an both arms and legs. the body has to wait for mor small peices, the rabit is already 2 years old. 5 years ago I was trying to do christmas dolls. 10 of them, the dresses and bonnets are done. I have fabric for the bloomers, . How stuped of me, I'll never be able to aford stuffing for that many dolls, not to mentionthe pincushion i had started. So I stopped, I use all my batting to make filling for a small Qts. I splice sew together the batting......

Amazing! I wouldn't have the patience. Whew! :D

I've started saving my "crumbs" as well, and as soon as the baggie is full, I'll list them.

Cool - it all makes sense when you can see a picture. Thanks for posting.

there is a board member here who asks for batting scraps for animal beds at a local animal shelter she volunteers at. so yes, save those scraps too if possible. she can send a tax receipt for your scraps since it is a non-profit organization

I hope the animal bed making person will visit this thread so I can have her contact info!
