question about how you sandwich your quilt.
 

I just ran across a video showing how to sandwich your quilt using boards where you roll both back and top onto what looks to be a 1x2 or 1x3 board. Does anyone do it this way and if so can you pin instead of thread baste......does this process work better than the "usual" way to sandwich a quilt?

If you like sitting at a table,instead of crawling around on the floor, sandwiching with boards is the way to go. I don't need a big space..a long table works for a big quilt. I use either pins or hand basting.

I use the boards when I can with 505 spray. I did try elmers glue but have a better finish with 505 spray.
i also tape the backing down before the first section sprayed down.
problem with the method is you can only work in narrow widths eg, length of boards.
do like this method so I do divide large quilts into sections to fit my 5ft boards length.
