I am reading directions for a table topper. It says "Nesting the seams will help keep interstctions sharp". What does this mean?

When you press the seams in alternating directions, they will match up better. You just kindof rub them back and forth and the seams will sit more closely together. It works best when the top seam is folding toward the needle, but it rarely works out to where they always do.

It cuts down on the bulk of the intersections too :D:D:D

I pin the seams on both sides. Makes it go so much easier and have better results.
