I just purchased the coronet. If you want to quilt a queen size quilt you have to do it in sections. There is a you tube that shows how it is done on the Handiquilter Simply Sixteen which is basically the same machine as the coronet and the same frame. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKLlhc50tzU. It works a little different than the larger machines. You have to prepare your quilt sandwich before the load it on the frame. There is another you tube that shows you how to sandwich a quilt using an ironing board, iron and basting spray. I have made two quilts using this method and it works great. There is one other video that I thought was helpful. Its main focus is on using a laser stylus and a paper pantograph, but she also demos how to slide the quilt across the back pole when the quilt is wider than the frame. The HQ demo has the lady removing ALL the clamps before moving the quilt to one side. I like the idea of leaving the clamps on the back rail in order to keep the quilt lined up. We just had a Baby Lock Coronet delivered to our store today, so I'm cramming tonight so I can start demoing it tomorrow!

The Babylock Coronet and 5ft quilting frame are identical to the HQ Sweet 16 and Little Foot Quilting Table. The parts are interchangeable.

The Simply Sixteen/Little Foot frame is the Babylock Coronet. The HQ Simply is a great machine, imo. I love mine. The frame's clamp system is excellent, and easy. The frame itself is solid, not at all flimsy. It's a breeze to adjust the larger quilts when quilting them... You just slide them along the poles. The machine comes w has a manual mode + 2 stitch regulator modes. Stitches are absolutely gorgeous. Optional accessories include laser light + rear handlebars for pantos.
Price and quality are amazing, imo. It's a solid, well-designed set-up. Machine will also fit on HQ Studio frame if you want to go bigger one day.

I bought my Coronet in December with free financing. Loving it so far though still have to baste quilts first which is the part I hate. I had told my husband that I was done making queen sized quilts because I didn't like quilting them on my domestic anymore and finding it a chore. So he went with me to my local dealer to look at it. He even watched YouTube videos with me. Space is a problem for a big long arm machine plus we are downsizing in a couple of years.

Hello. I hope it is alright to ask this question here. I am extremely new to the Baby Lock Coronet, and have loaded the quilt onto the frame. When using the long arm, is it best to start at the top of the quilt and move down? Is this the best method?
