Question about quillows

It's been a long time since I've made quillows. My question is what is the length? This will be for an adult-size tween.

I used to make them 60" for little kids and 72" for teens and adults, wof. Have fun!! Ann

I would make it around 70" - 72" long. I made 4 a long time ago & that length seemed to be about perfect.

Thank you, krafty14 and osewme. I'll go with the 72"

I made them the length of 72". I made them in the 80s when they were popular.

The original pattern called for 2 1/2 yards of fabric. The quillow is 72 inches and the pocket is 18 inches. I had to make my granddaughter a second one. She uses the pocket for her feet.

Reinforce the seams for the pocket as many put their feet in the pillow part.

I have some tall kids in my family and for those I buy 3 to 21/2 yrds if fleece. To me, the quillows are to snuggle up on and that means you should be able to cover up the whole way even if you don't want to scrunch in a ball to do so.
