I just finished a small wall hanging that I want to put a label on, but don't know how to go about designing such a label. Help please
|
you can design a simple one in Microsoft word and print it out. You can embroider one, or I know there are free printable ones. I have a book with iron on labels that you color in with fabric pens.

I print mine from MS Word using the label fabric you can buy at Joanns or your LQS. I then "frame" them with fabric to match the quilt, and then sew on. Here's the method I use to frame the label: http://www.quiltmaker.com/blogs/quil...nd-a-giveaway/
I have been very happy with my labels since making them this way. |
This tute shows you how you can make a label and include care instructions for the quilt at the same time.

How to Make your own Quilt Labels with freezer paper and ink jet printer
Craftybear did this link on the board to a youtube tutorial. It's a good one that works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mH2R...feature=relmfu |
It would be nice if someone would do a written tut here on the board. Some of us have dial up and can't watch the videos.
