question about quilting and batting
1 Attachment(s)
The batting I use says to quilt every 10 inches. The quilting I have done is 11 inches. Is that really a problem?Thoughts would be appreciated. I just want to be finished with this thing!

i'd probably take the chance. but if you want to be sure... how about just a small tack stitch in the center of each chargers block?

I think I would add SITD just inside the yellow frame. The cross hatching may be at 11 inches but if you measure from point to point in the squares, it's closer to 15? Great Chargers quilt!

Are your parallel lines 11" apart? That means that from corner to corner the distance is 15.5". I would not chance it. But I like closer quilting anyway. And let's hope that the Chargers have a very good year. (From a former San Diego resident.)

Agree with the others. Stitching in the ditch will help hold it together across time and multiple washings.

I agree with dunster. It is just to keep the batting from bunching up. You made a great quilt with using the fabric you pick!!

thanks, y'all. It's actually 11 inches from point to point, so not too much over the "accepted" amount, but I'll do something to fix this.
