Question on AQS Membership Perk
 

I'm hoping someone is a member of AQS and uses the 10% discount card that came with the membership at Joann. My question is, what restrictions are on the card? Is it 10% off everything; for example, do you get an extra 10% off clearance and remnants? Thanks so much for any insight you can give me.

It is supposed to be 10% off your total purchase. I have found it depends on the Joannes you go to. But generally after ringing up everything and applying coupons you are using they then scan your card and take off the 10%. I have been a member for many years, I usually wait until they have entered everything then hand over my card.

Some do everything and some do only non-sale items.


BTW - you can request the 10% off joann's card with ANY quilt guild membership (including this board???), so if that's your only reason for joining, you don't have to.

I use my all the time when in the store. As far as I know, it is good on your total purchases including clearance items.

my card says 10% off regular, sale-priced and clearance items. "Cannot be combined with any other discount or coupon." also "offer excludes gift cards; remnants; patterns; magazines"

And I'm pretty sure that's exactly what I've gotten in the store. If something's on sale, you get another 10%, but not if you use a coupon.

if you're talking about getting the 10% off at JoAnn's, i never got it myself. They always claimed to know nothing.

Only the store manager(s) issues the cards, so ask for a manager, and be ready to show your guild membership card.

It shouldn't depend on which store at all, the restrictions are printed right on the card. Ask to speak with the manager if you don't get the terms on the card. It's a JoAnn's card, not an AQS card, and the back is signed by a JoAnn's store manager when it's activated. The "we know nothing" attitude is baloney.

. Sometimes it does depend the store and it's manager. The one near us (25 miles away) lets me
use the 10% discount on top of the other coupons I have.

But, now I don't have the AQS membership, and it hasn't really been missed.
