Question for EQ6 users
A friend asked me to design a block for her, which I have done. Now I can not remember how to e-mail it to her. She does not have EQ. Can anyone refresh my memory?

I have EQ7 so it might be a little different, but I think you can export a block as a .jpg. Look for "export" in the menus and that should get you there.

once you select the 'export', i think you have to use the crosslike cursor to outline the part you want to export. before i had figured that out, i used to just take a screen print and used paint to select and save the part i wanted to share with others.

Only because I took EQ class yesterday:
open the design click on FILE click on EXPORT IMAGE save it on your pc where you can find it as a .JPEG then you can send an email and attach file |
What I've also done is use the export feature and then just paste it into a word document. Shows up just the same. Might be easier for your friend to open that way.

If you want to send your friend just the picture of the block, follow the instructions above.
If you want to send your friend the templates or foundation piecing pattern, you will need to have some sort of .pdf writer installed on your computer. I prefer .pdfs because they render true to size. In your computer's settings, change the default printer to your .pdf writer In EQ, click "work on block" click "print" click "templates" or "foundation piecing", whichever your friend would prefer. click "print" and it will print to a .pdf, which you can then send to your friend. hth |
thanks everyone...off to try your suggestions
