Has anyone ever mixed fleece with cotton fabric? Can you have a fleece center and put regular cotton fabric around it? Will it last? or strech out?
Thanks

I did a small one out of curiosity with fleece and flannel. I surged the seams. It worked out okay, not anything I would do much of though.

I've only used fleece as a backing on baby quilts (cotton tops) - no problems there.

remember it is two different textures of fabric so will react differently when sewing.

I have no doubt that you could do it, but be warned  it is stretchier and could pose some issues :D:D:D

I would not do it. causes problems When i tried. I do make dog coats out of fleese and flannel and that is not a problem. Fleese on the top and fannel on the back that goes on the dogs back. I guess if the item is not to big it works ok.

I haven't used fleece with cotton, but I did do one for my daughter that called for cotton and chennile (sp) - wasn't all that much fun to do, the chennile kept shifting on me. But daughter loves it, so that's all that matters.
