Oh- I bought a frame for it, but haven't had a chance to put it together. Can't remember what it is- I just move the box around. I'm always in a hurry for my projects so I haven't had time to read the instructions and put it together.

For this project, I put the Juki on my 8 foot table I bought for the frame. I basically took over room #2 and spread out the quilt on the table and son's bed. It was very easy to maneuver the sandwich around and it wasn't all over my lap and the floor.

So, how many bobbins DID it take to quilt the queen size quilt? Too bad we can't use cones of thread to feed the bobbin from below.

Looking forward to seeing your photos.

Craigslist has this for 1600. Good deal?

This is a NewJoy "Gold Standard" machine quilting frame equipped with a Juki TL-98E commercial sewing machine ("head"). It will work quilts up to king size (up to 105" in width).

Not bad if it comes with a few perks, like speed control, handlebars, etc. I'm not too keen on buying something this expensive from a private party, and would like a guarantee of some kind. Did you see the price range at
http://www.allbrands.com/products/abc0645.html
One set-up there is less than $1,000.

It took 8 bobbins to do the queen size quilt. using meandering stitch.

I posted pics on the challenge section. This was my challenge quilt to finish. I'm so glad its over!
