I've always been under the impression the only information needed in order to acquire a hopping foot for an old machine was whether the machine was long shank or short shank. Is that correct or no?

Or slant shank.

To my knowledge that is correct, but ask Lostin51 or Charlee for sure.

Now how did I forget slant shank when I have one of those! DOH! I'll sneak out under the carpet now.

Glad I remembered that one then. I'm guessing a "hopping foot" is like a darning foot?
