Question re: oil/lube FW
 

I used my FW instruction manual and oiled and lubricated it for the first time. Boy, those spots are sure tiny to get a drop of oil in!! The last thing I did was lubricate the motor. The manual said "insert the tip of the motor lubricant tube into the hole of each of the grease tubes and force the lubricant through each hole until both grease tubes are filled." How do I know the tubes are filled? It was hard enough just getting the lubricant in there, let alone know if I'm just messy or if it's coming out because the tube is filled. Thanks for any help!

A bottle with a long, flexible tip is available, makes oiling much easier! You can aim and squeeze to hit those tiny holes. Also, fill the "grease tubes" until they are full means it will stop going in and start coming out. It is messy, just be prepared with rags or paper towels.

Be sure to sew on some scrap fabric until you know it has stopped leaking oil.

when i lubed my my motor, i squeezed until the lube started coming out i figured the pot had to be filled by then. the telescopic tubes do work better when trying to get oil in those tiny holes and underneath to the gears but keep a soft cloth handy because some oil is bound to run down the machine.
