question for rulers

Awhile back someone posted a nice tool that her hubby made for her to set all her rulers in.
Does anyone know who it was or where i could find that post.

I don't remember that specifically, but if you go to etsy.com you can see some lovely ones and maybe get an idea from there? I bought myself a wall one last year for under $20, love it! I could have asked DH to make one, but he's so busy, it probably wouldn't be done yet...

Thanks . It was a wooden board with grooves cut into it to slide or set the rulers on.

I have some made of wood with slots in them but you could also use some white plastic covered ones for kitchen pan storage. I have a couple on my pantry shelves I could use for rulers if I had to. just a thought.

It is listed under mission organization and the title is [h=2]DH made me a ruler rack.[/h]

I had the tech teacher at school make me one....he took a piece of pine, 1 inch high, 6 inches wide and 12 inches long. He cut the grooves 1/4 inch deep. I loved it so much that I was able to get him to make me 3 more....one is a smaller one to hold all of my smaller rulers.....makes it easier to find certain rulers!

Well Thanks for sharing the measurements Deb.

DH made me one similar to what Deb described. Going to see if he'll make me one that hangs on the wall as well since I have more rulers than slots in the one he made. ;)

Just have to chuckle at the title of this thread..."question for rulers"...all I could think of is "we are the kings and queens of our quilting domains!" LOL :)

Just the way my brain "doesn't" work before my morning caffeine. No offense intended. Have a geat day.

A large wire file folder divider works well too.

I have also used a wooden drawer knife block too. I was not using the knife block anymore so why let it go to waste?

I have one and love it. I ordered it from Amazon.

A cheap alternative that I use is an old fashion letter rack. Mine sits on my table and I got it at a garage sale for a dollar.

bought a vertical file folder/organizer holder from a second hand store. It works perfectly and it was only a dollar or two. I can sort my rulers too! I've got one section for round, squares, specialty etc.... Having said that I also have a TON of rulers and most are really long. I keep them under my cutting table on a shelf... but for the others, I love my file organizer :D
