Question for the Spiderweb Quilt pattern
When using the tracing paper for the spiderweb design, I used a little glue to hold the first piece down
and then at the tips. But now I have a problem getting the paper off. I used fabric glue....what do you suggest to use instead? Will just Elmer's come off better? J.Deery Cutting Corners |
I have never used glue but if I did I wouldn't use fabric glue as that is formulated to permanently hold on fabrics. I would use a childrens washable glue. Like Elmers. I'm sorry that this happened to you. Could you have just pinned it? I have not made a Spider Web Quilt. Actually I have never seen one (that i know of). Please show a pic after you have made it. I would love to see one.
Good luck. |
Glue sticks work really well. Some say they are for quilting, but I like the ones kids use at school better.

I bought a fabric glue stick from Missour Star Quilt Co. and it works great!

With Elmer's washable school glue, dampening the paper with a little water will also dampen the glue, making removal easy.

use the non permanent washable Elmers glue.
