Has anyone bought fabrics from Thousands of Bolts? I'm thinking about putting in an order and wanted to know about quality of fabric, service, returns etc.

Sorry, I have never heard of them. Is it new do you know? I know that connecting threads is really good but hopefully someone knows of this place. Good luck.

I saw their ad in a quilting mag a long time ago, it seems like a couple of years. If they carry name brands I think they would be good. Maybe check them out with an order that you don't need quickly and see what their turn around time is and how their customer service is.

it's one of the first places i check when i'm shopping for fabric.

i really like ordering from them once i got wrong fabric and they told me to keep it and they sent what i had ordered great people to work with

I shop there frequently. They have quilt shop quality fabrics. They don't usually have the most recent collections, but for the money, it's a great place to shop. Shipping is quick and shipping costs reasonable.

I ordered from them and had no problems. Plus, they ship by actual weight which can be cheaper depending on quantity ordered.

I've ordered from them and been very happy. I'm sure we can find bad stuff from anywhere, tho.

They have excellent quality name-brand fabric. If I need a fabric that has been out for six months or so, I'll look there to see if they have it. Of course, other fabric will call to me...well, you know how that is. With each fabric there is a link to the rest of what they have in that collection, and I also like the color matching feature. Shipping is prompt, and I've never had a problem at all with any order.

I just went to the site and viewed the tutorials on using their Quilter's Toolbox. It looks like a very easy to use process. The only drawback seems to be that they make it VERY easy to order all the material that you need for the quilt. You just push one button to add it all to your order. Is it ever "too easy" to order material??? lol

I just placed an order a couple of days ago and have ordered from them in the past. I have been very happy with their quality and service on previous orders. Found several fabrics I have been looking to purchase on sale.

I've seen them advertised in quilt magazines and wondered about them. Think I will go give a look see.

I frequently order from them. The fabric is brand name first quality just the same as my LQS, only half price! I find the shipping high on just a few yards, so I try to place a large order rather than just a few yards.

They are very reliable! I have used them many times!

I recently ordered some fabric from them and loved it. I like it because as soon as the site comes up their fabrics are organized on colors. I'm sure I'll go back again.

I haven't read the entire thread yet. My experience with Thousands of Bolts was VERY POSITIVE! I purchase a lot of my fabric online. I'm always looking for bargains in named brands quilt shop quality fabrics, from online stores and heard from other forums that Thousands of Bolts were a great source for quality fabric. I purchased about 8 yards of one line of fabric in November.

1) It was a current line of fabric and the price was about 50% off every other site I searched for this line.
2) The fabric was here within 5 business days and their shipping costs were very fair.
3) All the cuts were accurately cut with most generously cut 38"
4) I wouldn't hesitate purchasing from this online retailer

The only negative I have is that their site is somewhat difficult to learn to navigate.

I actually met the owners last year at the Market in Houston. They are really nice people, and carry a lot of the same fabrics I carry in my quilt shop. Their prices are (I believe) lower than many other places, but with still good quality.

They are great--a family owned business with a history of fabric retail, great to work with and u can make a request about shipping if u prefer USPS flat rate envelope, etc.

I saved a fortune on the Stonehenge fabrics for the pastor's quilt by purchasing from Thousand of Bolts. Same fabric, same quality, and great service. One draw back is you have to order in whole yards unless they have a fat quarter in the pattern that you need. I often check there first after I have decided on what fabric to use. That way if they have any of the fabrics, I'll be saving a lot.

Love, love, love 1,000 bolts. Great fabric, good prices and excellent, quick service. Have ordered close to a dozen times and never had a problem. Believe you can order with complete confidence.
