Question

I recently bought the booc 'Borders' by Judy Laquidara and plan to make the 'Across the County Line' quilt.

The book gives the size of the pieces needed but does not state whether or not the seam allowances are included in the measurements.

Is anyone familiar with this book and can answer this question?

Thank you in advance for your help!

I believe whenever they give you dimensions of pieces to cut, seam allowance is included. It's always 1/4" seams in quilting.

You can ask at Judy's blog. She is very friendly and will most likely answer right away.

I don't know, how to believe anyone would sell a book and not give you the info you need. I would make a sample block and see if you like it.

I have never seen a book or pattern that was written with sizes to cut the pieces listed, and then you had to add 1/2" for seam allowances. So, my answer is the seam allowances are included.

I would have to agree with Peckish. Seam allowances are included. but, I would ask her anyway, just to be sure.
