My frame is great but sure need a long arm machine for it. Right now all I have is a Baby Lock Jane on it and it is awful. The rods are too big around also. The carriage will hold an 18 in throat machine but even that is too expensive.

I have a frame like the Lund. I am still adjusting to it but so far have been real pleased. One issue I am still working through is the throat of my machine does not allow much FMQ room. I have measured all my machines and they measure 7 inches. My brother machine, which is my newest, has a curved throat so I can only get about inches of sewing at best. I recently put my older Singer with a square throat on and while I can get about 4 inches of area sewn with it, I am having some adjustment issues. IF I get the machine adjusted, it will not be removed from the frame. My last attempt it skipped some stitches and finally the needle broke, so I just walked away. I think maybe I didn't have the needle in quite right, the bobbin probably has lint that needs to be cleaned and I was going too fast (which is easy to do). I hope this weekend to go in with a fresh mind and start over. I cannot afford a long arm, and so far I have been happy with this frame. One thing to keep in mind is you will want to find a wooded table that you can lower the legs on, my standard table was too high to comfortably see over everything.

Funny this came up I actually bought the Lund frame when I 1st knew I wanted to learn to quilt 2 yrs ago! I had never sewn 2 squares together for a quilt back then! It's still in it's original box unopened. Someday!!!!

I agree with ManiacQuilter2 and the others that suggest that you need to slow down. If the problem persists, then your tension may need adjusting. Keep at it, you will get it
