I do two projects at a time, so that I don't have to use starters or enders. I alternate, and then I do not have to cut threads until the bobbin runs out. For example I needed a brainless project to finish today. I worked on this project and ran pieces for the 30 blocks of Bonnie Hunters mystery in between. It works really well for me because I would get bored sewing all thirty of those blocks at the same time.
