When I think of an Artist it is usually in the form of a painting, pottery, etc. After sitting in on a couple of quilt guilds and looking at the photos of the quilts that are on this message board I am always amazed at the artistic creations in quilts. So my hat is off to all of you!
I have found that even though I just plan on making one or two simple quilts for my own use, quilting is very time consuming (or maybe that is just me) but the artistic effort all of you put into your quilts will never cease to amaze me. Just want to say that ....You All Rock!! |

Ha, Ha, Ha! I started to quilt because I wanted a quilt and couldn't afford to buy the one I wanted. You say you just want to make a couple? The're like potato chips, you can't stop with just one!

WELCOME from OK |
After Hurricane Katrina, my husbnd was tansferred from the Gulf Coast area to the northern part of he state by his company. I had no job, so I really got to work on my stack of "projects". A young neighbor wandered over one afternoon and said, "I saw your lights on at 4:00 this morning. What were you doing?" I told her I couldn't sleep so I got up and sewed on a quilt. A non-quilter, she asked, "Didn't you make one last month?" She didn't know how addictive it is- either there's a new pattern you just HAVE to make, there's a new technique you just HAVE to try, or guilt about your fabric stash makes you feel you NEED to use some of it up!
What a terrible affliction!.......Welcome to our world! |

I started out to make one quilt for my sister to give to her first grand baby. I am now a quilting addict. LOL
