hi, I am looking for some advice on what color backing to use with my quilt top, it is red and black, I would like some suggestions, please. thank you.

How about gray?

I think I would try to find a print with black and red in it.

I used leftovers from the front of the one I'm almost done with:)

the red is so hard to match up, i have tried that and it seems like to much red and black, i don't know if going with a cream , or gray or a more neutral color would work, i'm new to this stuff.

i never thought of using gray, i will try some samples. thx.

i don't have enuf left over from the front, i never thought of doing that.

how about all back and show of quilting with red thread and then use red binding?

I agree with Vivion ---------- red & black small print.
