absolutely, my 118" shrunk to 108"!

I just ordered backing fabric from Hancocks of Paducah and it was by P & B white on white paisley print and was 115 inches wide. It came and is beautiful. I would recommend them any day

Have checked all the sites given so far and most of those claiming 110"+ are offering only muslin or sateen in larger widths. I've ordered some backings from Hancock's before and yes they are beautiful. Have a couple hanging up right now waiting for their quilt top to be made up. Right now I'm looking for one that would go well with an all batik quilt top in red/orange, gold, teal/blue and black. So have lots of choices to choose from here. Still not interested in a solid.

Sew Batik offers a 112" wide batik backing. Because it is batik I suspect shrinkage will be minimal if any seeing as they have to put the fabric in boiling water to remove the wax. I have bought wide back batik from them at a show. Gorgeous fabric.

I know you don't want to piece your back, but if you have to you can use the John Flynn method for piecing the back. This is my go to method if I can't find the fabric I want in the width I want (for your quilt you could use the 108" backing fabric or even 90" backing fabric) and with a single diagonal seam you can have a back that is wide enough. Because this is on the diagonal, it seems to miss most of the seams on the front. I use the calculator (the first link) to determine how much fabric I need. I could not bring up John Flynn's actual site, but these links give a lot of good information.

Feline Fanatic, thanks for this site as it has lots of over 108" wide backs, pricey but what the heck.....can't take it with me and oh so beautiful.

QuiltnLady1, I tried to get to John Flynn's site but it kept taking me to some site that claimed John Flynn Quilting but it didn't have anything to do with quilting that I could see. Tried the other sites too but I didn't see the formula. Will continue to search though so thanks for the idea. I remember seeing something similar for making bias binding using a diagonal seam. Seemed confusing to me till I kept reading the instructions and looking at the pics.

Again, thanks all for these great sites for backings. Have all of them saved for later use.

Pricey because the loom is larger to accommadte the size.
