What is nice about basting like this is no floor. I can sit at my kitchen table for a smaller quilt and talk with DH and watch tv. The table is 4x5' so no problem.

Now that's a clever idea ! Why didn't I think of that!? I have tried this method, and always had trouble with
keeping the fabric taut while rolling it on.. thank you..! Have to try this again..

I've been using boards for the last couple of years and have really had good results with this procedure. I have not tried elmers glue yet.
