Since I make my own binding and there is alway left overs, so can some one give me ideas of how to use. They are all cut on the bias. Many different colors.

Sounds like scrappy binding to me! Also, there's the technique of making HST by sewing 2 strips together, then cutting the triangles. I didn't like this method because the edges wind up on the bias, but if your strips are on the bias, the HST would wind up on the grain. I think there's a tutorial on this board.

I would like ideas, too- I can never bring myself to throw it away, so I have all these little rolls of binding.

Make string blocks with them. This involves sewing to a paper or muslin foundation. There have been some recent threads on doing this using coffee filters for the foundation. Try searching on "coffee filters".

I sew the pieces together and use them to bind a scrap quilt or some small project.

I put mine in my scrap bag and they get used for string
blocks, my gd's use them too...sometimes they work for
a quilt binding....

Have you ever put a scrappy binding on a quilt? I used my leftovers on a couple charity quilts and they really looked good. I did another quilt that had a piano key border, then a solid border outside that, and used the leftover fabrics from the piano keys to make scrappy binding.

You can roll them up and put them in a pretty glass vase or jar just to sit on a shelf.

If they are cut on the bias, sew the strips together.

Then you can cut HST units out of them.

I guess I don't understand your dilemma. It is fabric, regardless of it's shape. Make a scrap quilt of some type. Use it in foundation piecing. I have a boxes of various limbs that are leftovers, if you would like to donate to my madness, I'll be happy to take them off your hands. :-)

I usually use for scrappy bindings. I have a box full.
