Wonder how many different quilt patterns on the market?

how many different blocks (some blocks has different names) how confusing!

would be fun to make a list of the quilt blocks by names!

I think the quilt block patterns would be endless as you could design them tons of different ways

I have Maggie Malone's book 5,500 Quilt Block Designs Published by Sterling Pb. co. in 2004; has 448 pages and lists the various names for each block. That would be enough to keep a person busy for a lifetime if you just made one of each block. But not enough resources for me; I still get attacted to other books and patterns...about three small bookcases full and still going...looking for different or new ideas.

Just too many. There are so many I would like to try, just not enough time. I wonder how many more than 5500 there really are. Sort of mind boggling.
