My youngest DD wants a quilt for her boyfriend ( soon to be son in law ) for Christmas. He loves bowling and I had no problem designing a quilt around some fabrics I found on line. Then she throws in the hint he loves the color lime green. Help!!!! How can I work this into a bowling quilt. I'm lost.

Bowling balls, bowling pins and bowling bags. I love this material.

Go with the reds and blacks, solids and patterns, in whatever pattern you want. Then make a green frame around the outside, can be thin or a couple of inches, then your border and binding. The green will frame it and it really does look good. :D

What cool bowling fabric! I totally agree with Bluebird just a small border of the green will make it pop! :D Good luck!

I love the lime green with the red and black! Such nice contrast. I think it will be a great quilt.

I also agree. A little hint of green in a border would really make the quilt!!! I really like your colours and the bowling fabric you chose. Don't forget to post pictures while you are making it and of course the finished product!

You could put it on the back - and make it sort of reversible.

Green for the border. I think that is going to be a nice quilt.
