Quilt for Christmas
 

This is the Hunter's Star quilt I made for my son for Christmas. I don't think I will ever make a quilt this large (96X104) again!
Doing the final measuring and putting on the borders was a killer for me. But I am glad I made it for my 40 year old baby.
I'm taking it to the quilter today.

That is big...and beautiful too. I like the greens. Wonderful Christmas gift :-)

Very pretty!! Beautiful green. I made one with 10” blocks. 10 x 10, so it was 100” square. I did enjoy it but wanted to make one of those borders that the star extended into. Maybe next time, but like you, I’m not sure I would make another one. Too many new patterns and ideas for me to work on.

That's beautiful. I've done one king sized quilt. I think it was a tad bigger than that. I quilting it myself on my trusty ofd Bernina, but had to use Marti Mitchell's Quilt in Sections technique. I had enough trouble getting the sections thru that tiny throat space. I never would have made it with the whole quilt.

I'm actually getting ready to make another one for the bed, but it will be easier to quilt since I have the Juki with much larger throat space.
