My friend is searching for a quilt pattern to make for her new grandson. The babies room is done with circles. I have searched the message board but have not found anything that just out at me. Does anyone know of a cute pattern with circles?

Here is a quick easy one. http://www.joscountryjunction.com/?p=2518

I made one using many sizes and colors of appliqued circles on a wholee cloth top. I overlapped some and had them hang off the edge. It turned out really cute.

Here's one that I made called "Circle Around"
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-83797-1.htm I got it out of a quilting magazine last winter. I can look it up when I get home this evening if you would like. |
Here is a video on how to do a circle quilt http://www.youtube.com/user/JosCount.../0/R0uSqNzakGU

If you are doing applique, Iron a coffee filter and use it for your foundation, then sew on top and rip off the back. It makes a perfect circle for almost free.
I did this with scrap red, white, and blue. Turned out really cool looking. |

This could be done in baby prints. |

I am making one of these now...thanks for the modivation...I am doing the one that I posted of the video. I am using jean circles and flannel both from scraps from another quilt. I am using muslim for the front. I used a glue stick to hold down the cirlces. Now i just need to put on the batting and backing which I am using some left over muslim. all one piece. This will be a Christmas gift to my sister inlaw. We don't give gifts so this will be a total surprise. So far so good. I will also do FMQ'ing. This has been fun, Quick and Easy.

This is an oldie - from the 1930s - but is a neat quilt. First...here's a link to a picture...
http://quiltcontemplation.blogspot.c...ye-blocks.html And here are instructions: http://www.geocities.ws/qtracy23/Bullseye_Quilt.html You wouldn't have to cut the blocks into quarters & resew the 4 in blocks. Leave them as 10" blocks mixed with solids like in the picture. Brights & kids prints would make a great quilt! |
