Quilt Day at church this Saturday. . . I'm so excited.
 

My church is having their annual Quilt Day this Saturday. You can either make the "group" project, or bring something of your own to work on. I'm going to start a "Summer in the Park" quilt using Hoffman fabrics in the Margarita color collection. I'm so excited for Saturday. Lunch is catered and then there will be a devotional It's always a wonderful day of fellowship and, of course, quilting. I can't wait.

I wish we had something like this at my church! I have no idea how many people there might be quilters. Hmmmm

Friday is a group sewing for Quilts of Valor. I am going for the first time. I hope it is fun. If I have a good time, I will go again on Saturday. It's being held a the LQS.

We had a few days like this when we made quilts for the sons/daughters of the church who were deployed. Some who didn't sew came and helped cut and press. It was a fun time to get to know each other better.
