Quilt Design
 

Just got Quilt Design Wizard, as a pre-trial for getting EQ7. Anybody use this? Any suggestions? I usually just "wing" it for some quilts, but thought this might give me some new ideas. Trying to decide if I want to quit reading QB and put in disc, or keep on reading! Love all the ideas and lessons learned from all the talented people on the Board!:D

I bought Design Wizard several yrs ago and it is worth the money. You can even download new designs as they are issued. It is a fun way to go. EQ7 is too expensive for me and am now to the point where I don't want to design my own quilts. There are so many free patterns and kits you can buy.

I have it and use it quite a bit. I just purchased Quiltpro which is a lot more advanced and I'm trying to learn it. Quiltpro is less expensive than the EQ7 software. It may be that I'm not a quick learner, but Quiltpro for me, has a pretty steep learning curve.

I have had Quilt Design Wizard for years & I still use it now & then. You can't go wrong buying it. It is easy & very user friendly. Then I bought EQ6 several years ago & I really enjoy that too. I'm still learning on EQ6 but then I don't use it too often. It cost quite a bit more than Quilt Design Wizard so just depends on what you want to spend.

Can you layout a bargello pattern with the Quilt Design Wizard? I haven't used design software before. The QDW sounds like an economical way to start.

It has blocks that you use to design a quilt. You do not design the blocks.
