I have it and it is not to bad really but can be limiting to the blocks you use. You have the ability to download added squares from the past few years from their site and coordinating fabrics, they also add to that each month.

It did take me some time to figure out how to make it do what its supposed to do but I could have saved that if would have watched the videos, I can be stubborn.

I think this program is perfect for me as a beginner but can see where I will want to step it up when I have the skills.

All in all 2 thumbs up

Maybe there is other design software out there, I do not know about. I could use the help with designing and the amount of fabric to buy for my quilting projects.
Hoping someone may be about to help. Thanks, Hugs, Dee

Thanks to all...I went ahead and ordered the Quilt Design Wizard. Yes, it was on sale for 20.00..8.00 shipping ups...but it is a starting point for me. I need simple and they do have quite a collection of blocks. I just needed something to help me determine yardages...I have a hard time with that..and usually grossly overbuy. I will have a lot of scraps though...LOL.
Thanks to all for the input...y'all were so helpful. Hugs, Dee in Oklahoma

Don't forget to register. They have new designs each month which include blocks and fabric.

Thanks for the input...I did order it...as a beginner, it will do the job for me...it looks easy enough ...and I love that it gives full size templates. I am wondering if it will give me quilting stencil for my hand quilting.
Enjoy your EQ7...I bet there are a lot of online help..tutorials and such. Hugs, Dee in Oklahoma

I can do Excel, Access, Word, etc.

This is a complete puzzle for me.

It was a waste of my money, just my thoughts.
I hope someone chimes in that was successful with it.

You are not alone, I have heard this from so many that I haven't looked into it and I do computer work for a living!

I like the quilt wizard. My 6 year old designs quilts on it. He thinks I am going to make them all for everyone he knows.

Thank you everyone, I've been looking at the quilt wizard and found all of your comments helpful. I'm new to quilting and to sewing so believe I will begin here. I'm making two quilt tops and went crazy trying to decide fabric colors, placement (crazy but fun), so the computer program will help quite a bit with that I hope. Warmly, Debbie in California

I bought it when just starting quilting. I love it.
Simple to use and great for trying out colors.
Free patterns every month at thier website to download.
You are limited to the blocks in the software but there are alot.
It helps for borders and sashing. It is also good to check out blocks that go togather to see the all over design.
Great software for the price.

Now wouldn't it be nice if it were $20.00 now :D But I do think its something I might check into a bit more ... thanks for the input folks
