I think your quilt is absolutely darling. I'm making one of those block of the months for one of my granddaughters in fun colors. Luckly she doesn't like pink or any other girlie color. I have her a bright one on the making and like it with the "wild colors". I hope she feels the same. I don't agree with the way they displayed your quilt either.

We have a quilt chow in our city that's held in a church. The quilt are draped over the pews and and all can be seen easily. What a wonderful way to display the many quilts.

Oh! My Lord you worked so hard! It is a great quilt, is that a pattern or one you made up. I am new to quilting and have learned just one pattern "Log Cabin" and I have done it big and small. Your small and the binding is great thanks so much for sharing. I print them and make myself a book. This is my first & 2nd Quilts attached.

I had something like that happen. I donated a quilt to raise monies. A bid sheet was in front of each item. My quilt was folded into about 16" square so it really didn't show, so the bids weren't much. I have a feeling the person in charge wanted the quilt herself and didn't want the bidding to go too high.

It is like entering an art show and having a bunch of the painting wedged next to each other so that all you can see is the side. that is terrible. I would call and very nicely let them have it. I would also have contacted the local news papers and city blogs. just to make sure that next year it doesn't happen again to others.

sahm4605 - you have hit upon a super idea, get this story out there within the media! It is fall and plenty of fairs and festivals going on right now. Newspapers like stories where the ordinary person has been done wrong.

Or they'll give you a blank look because it's always been done that way in suchandsuch county.

Fairs are fairs and not quilt shows. Sometimes it's just the way it is.

My friend's quilt was in the cubby next to TRIF's quilt. Have attached a picture of it. It's a cathedral window and took tons of work and was folded up so you could see about 4x10 inches.
