Sorry that happened to you and many others. What a great husband to call and let them know how disappointed you were. I love the ladybug fabric. I made a quilt with prairie points and the ladybug fabric for my granddaughter.

Look on the bright side--because of that fair board's stupidity we all get to see it! IF the people in charge were women I doubt this would have happened. One might as well buy a kit and put the pattern, fabric and thread on the shelf for all to see!

IF us as quilters across the nation would not put up with this and tell them how we feel there would be a lot of changes. Sue

Our County Fair is going on right now. Every one of the quilts, afghans, crocheted items, clothing, etc. is hung and displayed to really show it off. I will be going to sit in our guild's booth this afternoon. I will try to take some pictures of the displays and post them for you.

Cute quilt. I would let them know for sure that display was not acceptable. A quilt show near here uses big safety pins and one of my friends had a big hole in her quilt she could not fix as a result and she was very upset. She does not show her quilts. The fair here says put Velcro on a sleeve and they hang them all.

I love your quilt! I'm so sorry that it wasn't displayed so others could enjoy it. It makes me happy just to look at it. The way they folded it, you can't even see how adorable the prairie points are. It's a great quilt.

I had a non-quilt craft item prominently displayed. Couldn't believe it. It was humorous and not worthy of the display, I think. Meanwhile, no one could tell me where the quilts were displayed. I walked through all of the buildings and couldn't find them.

The fair gets weirder every year. If you read the list of previous themes, that becomes quite clear.

Thanks everyone, great advice, I will be writing a letter AFTER I pick up my quilt. And I must say it took alot of restraint on my part to leave my quilt for the remainder of the fair and not take it home with me.

The local fair here folds all the quilts except the Best in Shows. There is no room to hang them anywhere. Most are in the judging to advance to the State Fair. All craft/sewing items are displayed on folding tables in a long room. The roof has big fans blowing down and the walls have school house like windows from end to end. Worse exhibit hall ever!

Would that be the Antelope Valley Fair she went to.
